Parkinson Intro Hello y'all, I have just joined your group and Barbara asked that I introduce myself. My name is Leslie. I have joined to educate myself and gather information for my sister-in-law who is struggling with Parkinson's. My sister-in-law is 43 and has been diagnosed for 2 years. She is having lots of difficulty with the medication and has been recommended for the Fetal Tissue Implant procedure. I am trying to get information on this surgery because she is considering it seriously. Why am I having so much trouble finding current references on the Internet? Does it go by an alternative name? Is there anyone out there who is considering this procedure *or* who has already been through it? She would very much love to communicate with someone who has had the surgery, with either positive or not-so-positive results. Her doctor mentioned that there was a journalist from the LA Times who had a Fetal Tissue Transplant and wrote about her experience in the Times. Does anyone have a reference to this article? Any information would be a godsend! Thanks. Leslie
