When the well known parkinsonian Sidney Dorros died because of complications
of a bowel obstruction much was written about constipation in PD. A drug,
cisapride, was often talked about as a solution to the slow gastric emptying
which causes constipation in PD. Constipation is still a big issue but with
all the solutions and home remedies suggested lately cisapride is not
mentioned. Does anyone take it? Does it really work? Gallons of water and
tons of fibre doesn't help some of us. What's the scoop on cisapride?
