When the well known parkinsonian Sidney Dorros died because of complications of a bowel obstruction much was written about constipation in PD. A drug, cisapride, was often talked about as a solution to the slow gastric emptying which causes constipation in PD. Constipation is still a big issue but with all the solutions and home remedies suggested lately cisapride is not mentioned. Does anyone take it? Does it really work?
