Dear Friends-- A few cheerful little notes about foibles of LISTSERV, the software that rules our communal existence! Please remember that unless you are one of the very few people (mostly in the US) whose site is still using BITNET addresses, you MUST send postings for REED-L to the following address: [log in to unmask] Otherwise your message will be rejected. For some of you that means that if you reply to a message from this list using your 'reply' function, you will have to edit the address in the 'To:' line manually. Also if your site has recently modified its address (as Univ. of Ediburgh has done by changing from 'arts.edinburgh.ac.uk' to 'arts.ed.ac.uk), you must let me know. Until I change the way you are listed in the subscription list, you'll still get mail _from_ REED-L, but your postings _to_ REED-L will be rejected. Also, remember that when you send a posting to REED-L, you may not get a copy back. This is governed by a setting which you can control. If you are not getting copies of your messages and you want to, send a message to [log in to unmask] containing the line: set reed-l rep If you are getting copies but you'd rather not, send a message containing the line set reed-l norep to the same address. yours, Abigail Records of Early English Drama/ Victoria College/ 150 Charles Street W Toronto Ontario Canada Phone (416) 585-4504/FAX (416) [log in to unmask] http://www.epas.utoronto.ca:8080/~reed/reed.html => REED's home page http://www.epas.utoronto.ca:8080/~reed/reed-l.html => REED-L's home page
