I have developed a tong tremor. It is not uncommon in PD. My tremor exists
only when I am OFF meds. It adds a very nice vibrato to my whistling. No
pain is associated with it. One suggestion is to see a specialist
(therapist) on ENT. Putting a TV camera in your mouth, they can video tape
the action of the voice box and other muscles. There actually is an
operation (I've been told) that can reduce some of the problems in this area.
I am way out of my league ( or past the end of the plank ). My knowledge
stems from actually visiting an ENT specialist at UCSF who is knowledgeable
on PD. There was nothing they could do for me nor did I want them to do
anything. If you are in the San Francisco area I would be willing to give
you the name of the ENT and his therapist.
