I'd like to second what's been said about the value of the info we get on the list. Recently, I asked my neurologist about Cisapride as a means of moving food through the digestive system more quickly, thus shortening my "off" times. He replied that to his knowledge no research had been done on that, so he couldn't prescribe it. At my next visit I brought a copy of Camilla Flinterman's posting on the subject, quoting a study that had been done and published in a Victoria newsletter. He joked that he found the study on his desk that morning and concluded that I should come do research for them at the University. Not a bad idea, at that. Of course, he still hasn't prescribed the Cisapride... Pat Schark
