Dear Group: I myself do not suffer from Parkinson's but my dear father
does. He has been diagnosed for about 3 years and he is getting worse i
think everyday. He is on medication. I am not exactly sure what. But I
do know he does take Sinemet(not sure how to spell it). I guess I joined
this group because I am really trying to understand why he is progressing
so rapidly. He goes to see a internist I do believe once a month. They
live in a small town in northern Ontario, so therefore he goes to Sault
Ste. Marie for treatment. I could be in denial, because my father and I
are very close, but I wonder if the doctor is giving him the right
medications and also just because he is 73 that maybe he is too old to
try to help him . I know this is a strong accusation and I think deep
down it is just my fears and sadness talking. If anyone would like to
reply, I could use all the input I can get. I know my father will be
real proud of me, to hear I am taking an active roll to help him.
I know I should have included more info on his condition, but I really
just wanted to get this off my chest. It has been bothering me for some
time now. Thank You Colleen
