Carol Gray, I would look into the possibility with your physician that you have narcolepsy (a recurrent uncontrollable desire for sleep). A former student of mine had this, and I don't know what medication she was taking, but apparently it is controllable through medication. Whether or not you have narcolepsy, your sleep cycles are messed up; that is why you sleep during the day but not at night. You can't control this yourself--you have to be on medication (at least for awhile) to get your body reaccustomed to sleeping when it's supposed to.
