The United Parkinson Foundaton (UPF) newsletter, Supplement, July 1995 has
the whole supplment devoted to dopamine agonists in general and about Permax
and
Parlodel in particular. The conclusion at the end of the article is that the
two
drugs are almost equivalent although Peramx has several advantages over
Parlodel:
1. the cost is less
2. longer duration of action
3. it may have more powerful antiparkinson ation
4. it is more effective in reducing the pain and dystonia during
"off periods
