I think the suggestion for getting this list registered as a newsgroup or "usenet" is an excellent idea and long overdue. The traffic within this group as well as the importance of it to so many of us more than warrants this being done. Don't think this would change how you get your messages because it won't. You can still be subscribed and continue getting messages into your mailbox but what it does for people who get "overwhelmed" with the messages is that it allows them to be unsubscribed (no mail) but still be able to read and peruse all of the messages at their convenience. I am preparing my father's computer (diagnosed 4+ years) to be connected to the net but I am reluctant to get him into the list immediately because of the incredible volume of messages.
