As well as having PD myself, I have an aunt who was diagnosed with PD nearly twenty years ago. Her only medication is 7 x 25/100 Sinemet plus. This treatment has worked surprisingly well although over the last year she feels that the Sinemet has become less effective. Recently, she has suffered several sudden attacks of nausea and dizziness that she finds quite overwhelming. She no longer goes out in case she is taken ill in a shop or on the street. The sickness does not seem to be related to any food, time of day or activity. Her doctor prescribed prochlorperazine, which is not suitable for PD patients and made her PD symptoms worse.
