I've been trying lately, more out of insatiable curiosity than any good reason, to learn something about the geography of the brain. My references seem to be in conflict about the precise sites, past and present, for fetal tissue transplants. One says "striatum", but another says the substantia nigra, which is degraded in PD, lies in the midbrain, somewhere between the thalamus and the medulla oblongata. If anyone out there has authoritative input on this subject, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Cheers, Joe J. R. Bruman (818) 789-3694 3527 Cody Road Sherman Oaks CA 91403
