PD seems occasionally to cause odd secondary symptoms, such as night
sweats, acute seborrhea, anomalous temperature sensation or reaction.
I have the seborrhea, which appears as excessive oiliness of the skin,
particularly ears and scalp. Also have the stinging eye irritation you
mention. The books say it results from failure to blink and lack of
tears, but in mine it is just the opposite; my eyes are wet and bleary
all the time and need to be wiped continually. Just more evidence that
PD attacks the autonomous system as well as motor and posture centers.
Cheers, Joe
