IMAGINING NEW WORLDS: WOMEN IN SEVENTEENTH-CENTURY EUROPE
 
 
        The primary focus of this session will be written works from the
seventeenth century which deal with representations of women in new worlds,
both geographical and imaginary. Works by male as well as female writers
will be considered, though priority will be given to papers addressing
women+s self-representations.
