Hi there. I'm new to the list, and learning a lot. But I'm also finding it very hard to keep up. I didn't look at my mail for a few days - and now I'm still reading mail from two weeks ago. So don't mind me if I'm a little behind. My father's 66 and was diagnosed with Parkinson's about 4 or 5 years ago. He used to look really young for his age, but it seems like he's aged over 10 years in just the last two. He's also miserable all the time, though not entirely without reason, due to some personal tradgedies aside from the disease. However, it is now my understanding, from reading this list, that the continual depression may be a result of the Parkinson's, and may be treatable to some degree, so I am looking into this. I told my father about this list, and I can't decide if he likes me telling him about the things I learn, or whether he would rather I left it alone. However, he did ask me if I'd read anything about a condition he's experiencing now, and I haven't, so I thought I'd ask: "Sometimes when he laughs very hard, coughs or sees several images simultaneously, he feels a surge of pressure in his head, then it feels like he's going to pass out, but so far that hasn't happened." Thanks for all the good reading, Nicky The following is a progressional synopsis of my father's treatment: 1 a day Eldepryl 5mg (a.k.a.
