Gary, Probably my experience in Australia would not be relevant to US
conditions. However, for what it's worth I was retired as "totally and
permanently disabled" on the grounds that my PD mixed with arthritis
rendered me unable to do the job for which I was employed (Secretary) and
trained. This was granted after my company doctor plus my GP and my
neurologist each putting this opinion in writing to the insurance provider
for my company's superannuation fund. As my PD is on left side only I am
quite unco-ordinated which made the above more obvious than if I had just
slowed down.
Dawn.
