Try renaming the files (different names for different files) with a
.txt extension and they should come up in Notepad or whatever program
you have your ASCII files associated with.  Sometimes, such files are
too large for Notepad (it has a limit, but I am not sure how much), so
I have associated .txt files with Windows Write instead of Notepad.
All this is assuming that you are using Windows and not a Mac.  For
Mac, it is probably very similar, however.
