The 1994 Physicians Desk Reference (PDR) lists the produce QUINAMM which
in addition to inert substances containes quinine sulfate in tablets.
There is 260 mg of quinine sulfate in each tablet.  It is listed as "For
the prevention and treatment of nocturnal recumbency leg muscle cramps."
Dosage is given as one tablet before retiring.  A list of side effects
includes as the most common ones as ringing ears, dizziness ski rash  and
intestinal cramping. Fatalaties with dosages between 2 and 8 grams have
been reported.
