My message regarding quinine (by prescription) failed to note the manufacturer : Marion Merrell Dow. You may think that my report of a side effect "ski rashes" was a typo and probably was meant to be "skin rashes." Actually one of the well known uses of quinine, preventing malaria, works by driving people from the tropics to the ski-slopes, avoiding the mosquito but unfortunately resulting in ski rashes.
