I had heard that good news about Ropinerole would be released this week.
Glad to hear it. I was also involved in the study and have been allowed to
stay on Ropinerole under a compassionate exemption from FDA. As I have said
a number of other times, it is a wonderful drug -- at least for me. Until a
proper informed consent form could be completed, I had to go off Ropinerole
and was placed on Permex and I had a lot of side effects (confused thinking,
some depression and SEVERE back pain (as I recall from reading a filler, this
happens to about 15%. All of this went away when I got back on Ropinerole.
I have the customary sleep problems (falling asleep during day and not at
night), puffy ankles. , etc. -- but no on or off problems and my condition
has not deteriorated much over the past 3 years. tremor in left hand. some
drooling. customary aches have been diminished by working out and massages.
I have been interested in the notes about diabetes. I was a borderline
diabetic before and that seems to be worsening -- but I do not blame
Ropinerole for that. Can't taste much or smell much and sugar has been too
inviting. I am on glucotrol 2.5 mg X 2 and my last blood test was high and
so my regimen may change. In any event, hurrah for Ropinerole and I pray
that all of you can benefit from it. PettifogJS. @ AOL Com (Jack Stanfield,
