I had a terrible experience because an appointment set up for me,although confirmed, never happened, at the National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) clinic in Miami. I travelled there from Maine with a Certified Nurse's Aide acompanying me. When Dr. Juan Sanchez-Ramos was not there, mysteriously, the $3,100 I spent was lost. The CNA and I had to fly home. I live on Social Security and cannot afford to lose $3100. All attempts for two years (the appointment was 5/17/94) to get $3,100 compensation have failed. Can anyone suggest a way to get my money back for the abandoned appointment from either the doctor or the NPF?
