Dear Dora

I have been taking Sinemet CR twice daily and Eldepryl 10 mg daily for 2
years. I also had considerable nausea from time to time and feelings of
light headedness. The Parkinsons Society in the UK suggested that I take
the Sinemet on an empty stomach and not eat until 30-40 minutes later.

They also suggested ginger (root ginger or ginger biscuits) to help with the
sickness. This seemed to work for me although I also believe that it takes
time for the body to adjust to the drug. It took several months in my case
until I was totally free of nausea. I am glad I persevered.

There was also a drug they suggested I obtain from my doctor to help with
the nausea but in the end I never bothered with that and have forgotten the
name. I can obtain it for you if you wish, but thought I would not delay the
memo so as to try and get you a message before your gall bladder operation.

Incidentally, I had my gall bladder removed 18 years ago and neither had any
trouble or noticed any difference, so good luck and don't worry. I am
myself a recent newcomer to the list and am finding a great deal of valuable
information from it.
