It was great news about the success those of you
in Maine have had in getting co-sponsors. We are not doing
as well in New York. I know a number of us have written
continually to Senators Moynihan and D'Amato, called their
local offices and talked to their aides, and we haven't
even received a form letter reply.
I'd like to suggest that we borrow Ivan Suzman's idea,
and those of us from New York State make a concerted effort
to call the Senators' Washington office next week. Their

We could also ask our family members, friends and support
group members to call as well. Maybe this will finally get
them to respond. I think it's worth a try.
