I am writing this for my in-laws who do not have access to e-mail. My
father-in-law is 76 years old and was diagnosed with Parkinson's about
3 o4 4 years ago. At times he has been experiencing double vision and
some blurred vision. He has had his eyes checked and there was nothing
found that would cause this problem. We are wondering if vision problems
could be a side affect of the Parkinson's itself or the medication. He takes
only Sinement CR 50/200 three times a day, 9 AM, noon and 4 PM.
Also, he is experiencing very dry skin that at times is extremely
itchy on his scalp. The skin is dry and scaly yet seems to secrete
excessive oil. Has anyone else experienced this problem and does anyone
have any suggestions on how to cope with this?
The other problem he has trouble with is back pain. At times it is
between the shoulders and other times it is in the lower back. Although he
did have open heart surgery a year ago, he had the back pain before the
diagnosis of Parkinson's. Is back pain associated with Parkinson's in
particular and any suggestions on alleviating it?
Thanks to any help you can give. I have been sending printed copies
of the messages to them and they have been very appreciative and find them to
be very helpful.
        Sincerely,
Chris McConville ([log in to unmask])
