RTK.NET Mail 149393 May 9 10:43:26 1996 While we don't have a forum report together yet, I believe that Margaret Monty and I will share report writing responsibilities for the listserv. PAN also had the forum videotaped, but I haven't yet discovered when or how they will be made available. The real impact of the forum will probably best be seen in the results of our lobbying efforts this week. Jim Cordy announced on Wednesday morning that we had eleven definite commitments and 19 responses so favorable that the advocates involved were confidant that a firm cosponsorship would result. This does not include the cosponsors gained on Wednesday (I know of at least two, Jacobs (D-10) of Indiana and a congressperson from California) and the reports of those who were not at the WEdnesday morning gathering (a number of forum participants were already out on appointments or resting up for the day ahead). Some of us had a good visit with Senator Coats' Legislative Assistant, so this would be a great time to write or call him, especially if you are from Indiana. Sorry I cannot write more now.
