I have just (5/7/96) been diagnosed with "early parkinson's" and will get a second opinion on 5/14/96 and have not started any medication. I am 54 and work as a Application Support Analyst for Hewlett Packard in Andover MA. Married (29 years) with 4 sons. My symptoms started in November 1995 with weakness in both legs, and also in my arms. I thought it was time to have both knee's scoped which I had in Dec & Jan, and it was in Physical Therapy that the therapist noticed the weakness/stiffness in the arms & legs. Had the Mri's, Emg, & blood Work which were all normal. I walk like Charlie Chapman, but slower, with no tremor's, getting to the sitting to standing or standing to sitting position takes time & sore, it seems like every movement takes time. I have rambled enough, does medication help? -- ********************************* Dick Corrigan e-mail [log in to unmask] *********************************
