Hi Fred, I took artane for about 8 years along with sinemet and my complaint about it was short term memory loss and mental confusion. But I have been taking Amantadine for three years and I have had swollen feet and ankles and an unexplained rash on my legs with that - I felt better in "general" while on artane. I realize though,since I have had PD for almost 18 years (diagnosed at age of 37), that the way I feel could have a lot to do with advancing disease. Sometimes we have to make "trade-offs" with our medications and adjustments since we all seem to respond a little differently with our disease.
