Hello Group!

This is an update. There were 18 responses to my "mini-survey" posted on
May 6. The last person contributing was Patrick Martin, whom I greet with a
WARM WELCOME BACK!

Questions were:

1. total #hrs awake
2. total #hrs nap during day
3. total #hrs un-interrupted sleep during night
4. total #hrs "on" on a good day
5. total #hrs "on" on a bad day
6. average length of time for meds. to kick in (minutes)
7. when in an "off" period, do you persist and attempt to remain "active"
   or do you relax and wait it out?
8. what is the most prevalent emotion you have when having a BAD day?

Results:

1.-  Range=14-20      Avg=17.32    Median=18

2.-  zero=10;    week-enders=2;  daily naps=5(1-2.5hrs)

3.-  Range=1.5-7      Avg=4.73     Median=5

4. - Range=5-17       Avg=10.88    Median=10

5. - Range=1-15.5         Avg=7.03     Median=6

6. - Range=15-120 min.      Avg=59.11    Median=60

7 -  Persist=12;      Rest & wait it out=6

8 - Emotions listed first:  frustration=8;   depression=2;

    severe depression=1       anger=1;   impatient=1
    moody=1; patient=1;  helpless=1;    tired=1

    Emotions listed second: anger=5; depression=3; irritable=1;
    regretful=1;   disappointment=1

Reviewing the 'data' sent me looking for material to read on insomnia,
depression, the on-off phenomena, etc.. Oh, how I miss the PD Archives!!!
I am taking the liberty of sending, under 2 separate posts, portions of
articles I saved. Thanks for being a patient and 'civil' audience - at least
I cannot hear your boos & whistles.
