I have been using Apomorphine for over two years. It is marketed in the UK as Brita-ject by Britannia Pharmaceuticals 41-51 Brighton Road Redhill Surrey RH1 6YS UK It is made in Ireland by Antigen Pharmaceuticals Roscrea Republic of Ireland I use it with an insulin syringe in a holder that permits you to make several injections from one filling. I was told that Apomorphine is unstable and needs to be protected from light and heat. The packet also has the instruction to throw away an ampoule 24 hours after opening. I have found it is quite OK to carry the syringe in a pocket and have traveled with sealed ampoules to Florida without refridgeration. It seems to keep OK in a syringe for at least a week. It does cause nausea which can be overcome with domperidone but after some weeks of use, I found that a small dose of 0,8mg is enough to provide mobility. At this level I do not find it necessary to use domperidone. I carry a syringe filled with apomorphine eveywhere I go and it gives me the confidence that I can always get out of an off period within a few minutes. It enables me to go for walks in the countryside and visit cinemas and theatres etc, I don't recommend ignoring the manufacturers instructions but the above use works for me. Hope this helps.
