It is definitely possible to maintain strong pro-life beliefs and accept the
fetal tissue implant as a treatment alternative. I have struggled through
this issue in my own life and conscience, and talked to other Christians,
including 2 of my pastors, trying to settle my mind about it. Being a young
parky (45) the fetal tissue implant holds strong appeal for me because of
its potential restorative value, and being a committed Christian, it is
important that whatever choices I make not be offensive to the God I serve.

Given all the safeguards in place that remove the monetary incentives for
abortion, and the methods of approaching the topic with the patient
(mother), I think we can reasonably assume that no one is conceiving babies
and having abortions to get rich. Therefore, an implant becomes virtually
the only way the unwanted child (or fetus) can be of any significant value
to anyone. Please don't get me wrong, I am in no way implying that a
person's value is associated with his/hers ability to be useful. I think we
should be very careful to avoid this position. But being carted off with the
trash doesn't seem like a particularly redemptive way to end a life, however
brief.

I feel that Genesis 50:20 speaks of a similar moral choice. Joseph forgives
his brothers for selling him into slavery as a child and tells them "You
intended harm for me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now
being done, the saving of many lives." I think that you can approach
pro-life politicians and activists on these grounds, and at least give them
a little to think about, something that acknowledges their beliefs rather
than trying to prove them wrong.

Re: liquid deprenyl quest, stole Thursday afternoon from work and drove down
to Mexico. Hit 20+ pharmacias, pointed out the sought after substance in at
least as many drug-reference books to Spanish speaking clerks, got a blister
but no liquid deprenyl. Followed up on one lead for a company in California
whose phone was disconnected. Have located the phone # of a source somewhere
in Mexico, but don't speak enough Spanish to make the call, will grab a
multi-lingual friend in the next few days and try that. Found a company in
Finland (I think) that will take a credit card over the Net and ship a
40-day supply for about $132, including shipping, but a three-week delivery.
Finally stuffed a Fed-Ex envelope with cash and sent my order to the B&B
Freight folks, here's hoping. Sure added a little spice to life!

Re: Annetta Freeman's supplement regimen. I have increased some supplements
like pycnogenol and CoQ10, antioxidants, etc. Didn't notice a whole lot of
difference until I started the Sun Chlorella...that stuff packs a punch! In
the first week the mountain of fatigue I have dragged around for months kind
of faded away, to the point that everyone who saw me commented on how much
better I looked! I feel better than I have in 6 months! I have been losing
the battle against fatigue, was considering setting the wheels in motion to
retire ASAP. Actually, I have been experiencing a "forced" retirement
because I've been too exhausted to do anything, and too depressed to care. I
have worked all week without being forced to take a nap mid-day, although I
don't necessarily think that's a good idea, it shows how increased my
energy is. Now I'm distributing it to the young parkys to see if they get
similar results, will report.
