Dear Friends,
Just a brief note to let you know that the 3000 delegates at the Maine
Democratic Convention voted in favor of including the following amendment to
the party platform, on Saturday, May 18:
"We support the Parkinson's Research, Education and Assistance Act, and
all other efforts to cure Parkinson's, and other debilitating diseases."
My two-minute speech brought a standing ovation--I was overwhelmed by the
response.
