You pleaded your case and indicated that you expect to hear from them.......the latter is important! I have also written / emailed these folks..I didn't stop at that point however. I wrote to Senator Dole (even though he has resigned, I expect his office AND possibly that of his successor to respond). I also wrote to the other representatives in Kansas even though they do not 'directly' represent me and my family. I have visited with Jeannette, the Topeka PD Support group where the chairman allowed me to speak to the group regarding the Udall bill and what we could do to further the cause. I handed out sample letters and provided addresses of the congresspersons and senators pleading with them to write and to get their friends to write. Tomorrow I will visit the Lawrence Kansas PD group and follow the same pattern as at the Topeka Group. As a side note, while visiting the Topeka group, I met the Manhattan KS program chairwoman. She was interested in getting some of their folks involved with the letter writing campaign and for those who could do so, visit their reps. I believe that all of us should tell the story to anyone who will stand still long enough to hear it. We should convince them to tell all their friends as well. I, like you, am open to suggestions to improve the process and to spread the word as quickly as possible. I can use any advice given. Keep up the great work!
