This is my first message to the list so will introduce myself briefly. I
will 62 in a few days. I was diagnosed with PD 6 1/2 yrs ago, but can
reconize some symtoms having beome apparent as early as 8 yrs ago or more.
I opted for a medical incentive package and retired, at 59 1/2 yr, from
university teaching after nearly 30 yrs. I currently take one Sinemet CR
50-200 4 times/day, one 5mg Eldepryl 2 times/day, and 400IU vitamin E
1/day.

May 8 Don Berns in presenting his 2 1/2 post-Pallidotomy report stated:

" Since last December I have been using magnetic therapy in the form
of magnetic insoles for my shoes, sitting on Kenko magnetic chair pads at
the computer and in my car, and sleeping on a magnetic sleep pad. All of
which I believe have benefitted me in sleeping sounder and feeling more
energized. "

I have been reading this list for several months, and this is the first
time that I have seen 'magnetic therapy' mentioned in any message (I was
off the list for the month of February). I have some friends who have been
encouraging me to try some magnetic products, of the type listed in Dr.
Bern's message, to see if they have any noticeable effects on my PD
symtoms. [It could be that any noticeable effects would ultimately be due
to the sounder sleep and feeling more energized mentioned above.]

Are there any others on this list who have had any experience with magnetic
devices of the types listed?? I am interested in receiving both positive
and negative as well as neutral responses as to what, if any, effects have
been observed. I am seeking this information only for my personal use in
deciding whether or not to try these devices.

Responses may be posted to the list or sent to me by Email. Thank you very much.
