Plans are being made to gather in D.C., June 17-20, to make additional visits
with legislators in an effort to continue the momentum in the quest for
cosponsors and really try to get the bill moving. May and June are really
key months. Those who can't get to D.C. for this event should make every
effort to visit their legislators during the Memorial recess. If you don't
feel you could do a lobbying visit on your own, call PAN to see if you can
connect with someone else in your general area or ask your legislator to
meet with lobbyists at the PAN forum--Part 2 on your behalf.

Call PAN as soon as possible if you might be able to attend, need help
scheduling appointments, or if you can help attendees schedule appointments
with your legislators. In general, appointments should be scheduled on
June 18 and June 19, if possible, but any time is much better than not making
the appointment. Don't worry if this is all new to you, very few of us had
any lobbying experience before getting involved with the Udall bill. Besides,

if you come to D.C. June 17-20, it is very likely that some experienced folks
will be happy to go with you.
