Not wishing to be unsympathetic or to draw a firestorm of rebuke, isn't it a little unfair to insurance companies (much as we hate them) to ask that they cover something that has already happened? After all their business is to bet on odds that apply to everyone, not just a selected few. Asking for long-term care insurance after you know you will need it, however deserving, is sort of like trying to place a big bet at the track after the race is over. Cheers, Joe J. R.
