On behalf of Joyce who underwent a "P" with Dr. Lozano in Toronto, I offer
the list these observations:

BEFORE 'P' 'P' + 1 WEEK
                   "P" + 2 WEEKS

EXTREME pain NONE

                                                                   stiffness.

the following symptoms happened from time to time...sometimes a part of the
day, sometimes all day and sometimes not at all.

cardboard stiff body same but less often >>>>>>>>>>>
freezing and unable to walk same but less often >>>>>>>>>>>

These two symptoms happen post "P" minus extreme pain. There is some muscle
pain mostly on the opposite side of the "P".

These two symptoms "get better" sooner after meds then previously.

speach and some drooling was affected immediately after the "P". Slurring
and wrong words were sometimes very funny to us both. The reports from the
list were very unanamous that this disappears as the days go on. One week
after "P" this condition did improve daily and at the end of the second week
the speach is no longer a problem. There is some very minor drooling from the
left side.

After a consult with her primary neuro, it was agreed that she maintain the
same levels of Sinemet 25/100 CR 50/200 Permax 25 and Clozeril 25. The
only and first change will be the reduction of one .25 Parlodel a day. With
her present improved condition, he sees no reason for her to return to his
office until September. He gave me the option to reduce one CR per day for
two weeks, then reduce one 25/100 a day for another 2 weeks and then one
Permax at mid day for another 2 weeks. If everything stays relatively the
same the reduction process can be repeated for another cycle.

Since Joyce is 52 and in the process of bodily chemical changes and since she
has always been more symptomatic at crucial times during her cycle, the
increased stress and resulting increase in symptoms have to be watched to see
if they interfere with the ruduced medication. He said that there is no
problem to temporarily increase the 25/100 for a few days if needed.

Although she never "really" expected a 100 percent improvement she was
initially demoralized that the freezing and stiffness were still present.
Now after everyone points out her improvements she is accepting more.
Needless to say from my side, the elimination of her cramping and severe
pain and our ability to sleep more than a few hours had made my life a great
deal less stressed.

Will report in another 2 weeks.
