re: Pam Dalby and mother, Ardith I'm wondering what kind of doctor is prescribing this conglomerate of medicine for your mother--a PD specialist? a general neurologist?, an internist? In any event, if it were me I would get further opinions and I might try making some judicious changes on my own. Maybe your mother is allergic to symmetrel--I know I was. Since it was prescribed early on for me in lieu of sinemet and it was the only med I was on, it was immediately clear to me and my husband that symmetrel was not for me. We know our bodies best. If the meds seem wrong, they may be. If you're not comfortable with your present doc, either insist he/she look again and/or if at all possible, find a doc who is more in tune with your mothers med reactions.
