Dear all,
Christoph Cluse asked me about bibliographical details of an edition
of _Elckerlijk_. Being at a university not really well provided with
bibliographies, I have only found one title which SEEMS to be an
edition (as far as I understand the Dutch):
_Elckerlijk_: nieuwe bijdragen met gemeenderde uitgave / door J. van
Mierlo (1949).
What I need is a text of this or a modern English or German
translation; the English _Everyman_, which is thought to be a
translation / adaptation of it, will not do for me, because I want to
compare _Elckerlijk_ and _Everyman_. I am interested in the use of
Latin in these plays; in _Everyman_ there is hardly any Latin, and I
would like to know if _Elckerlijk_ is similar in this respect or if
the English adaptation is different from its (probable) source.

To Christoph:
Yes, _Elckerlijk_ is probably the source of _Everyman_, and this in
its turn is the source of Hofmannsthal's _Jedermann_, as far as I
know.
