Hello, All: As we seem to be caught up with taking stock of our individual condition(s) and working hard to validate our collective status through insuring the passage of the Udall bill, I felt the need to "make a list". Organizing and prioritizing help sometime, although they can also be decision stalling devices. I, as many of you, have been grappling with the 'next step scenario'. I have been trying to find a fit, a place, for my peculiar combo of symptoms in the continuum of circumstances of those who have been generous in describing and sharing their journeys to the moment of decison: surgery. How many hours have I spent searching the 'self', discussing the choices with family and friends and depending more and more on this group as the mirror where I can look for and find familiar or the same thoughts and feelings that this roller-coaster PD ride gives, albeit always managing to make the twists uniquely one's own. Given your response to Pallidotomy, would you do it again? My interest is not just academic; I am scheduled for Pallidotomy in August.< Bob <[log in to unmask]> wrote on 5/28: Has anyone put off having a pallidotomy because better treatment is "close".I would appreciate your comments." The questions that have been plaguing each one of us could be organized into some format. Are there enough people with enough information collected that would make a usable database? Are you willing to share? Without the archives, collecting data is difficult. I checked my "waste basket" and found 33 posts from people contemplating surgery or describing their experiences. There must be more! Meanwhile,I am posting a summary of meds in trial phase(separately). Please feel free to add, correct or otherwise participate. I thank Fred Zeiss for sending me a lot of the info on the drug trials. Let me hear from you. Margaret Tuchman (54yrs, dx 1980) [log in to unmask]
