My father experiences coughing spasms and shortness of breath. HMK [log in to unmask] Oh -- I forgot -- the nurse practitioner told me he might have atelectasis (spelling?) because of his swallowing difficulties. He might be inhaling food. since he's been on the Sinemet his swallowing has improved immeasurably and he does have fewer coughing spasms. He's due for a re-x-ray of his lungs June 26.
