I had a bilateral Pallidotomy and for me it depends what you mean by recover. I was only in the hospital over night. I felt very tired for about 2 months.. I stayed off work for a week and I worked shortened work days for about 2 weeks. The tiredness gradually went away. It may be somewhat different with diffferent folks. I did not run down the halls of the hospital.
