I was on artane at two different times in my six years with parkinsons (57 years old). Both times I had severe side effects including; loss of vision, dry mouth, mental confusion, and memory loss. Currently I am taking amantadine with acceptable tremor control and little side effects. Then again, we are all different. We must find out what works best for each one of us.
