Judy, I am on the same med program as ur husband except I also take 15
permax along with the other meds. My sinemet 25.100 is 9 per day taken as
liquid mixed in O>J>. It is taken that way to smooth the on/offs of regular
pill form sinemet.

A while after I was started taking Parlodol (I cant tell you how long) it
became very obvious to my family that I was having a major problem.
Hallucinations and paranoia drove tremendous wedges between my husband and
I and naturally I didnt recognize anything he said as being legitimate.
After he threatened to take us to court or me to a nut house did I agree to
"try" and believe him. He spoke with my neuro who immediately recommended
a therapist familiar with movement disorders and their med side effects. I
agreed to enter the hospital to begin a gradual program getting into
Clozoril.

CLOZORIL was what saved me and our marriage.

CLOZORIL is the most highly controlled drug in the American Marketplace.

In order to renew another weeks dose, you must have a CBC (without
differential) (thats a medical phrase) to determine your white cell count.
If it drops below a known number without the proper people knowing about it,
it could cause a quick case of lukemia. However, if the white cells drop
and the Clozoril is discontinued there is no problem. Thats why you never
get more than a one week supply. The hospital notifys the dispensing doctor
who authorized the pharmacy to dispense who notifys the drug company that
everything is OK. WOW!!

THANK G-D FOR CLOZORIL. Within weeks it controlled by paranoic condition to
a point where we laugh about some of my thoughts and escapades during that
bad time. Ive been on it for about 3 years now without any recourrence of
the bad times.

You might ask why I continue to take the Parlodel if it is so strong to cause
these problems. I asked my neuro and he said that the Parlodel is very
important for my type of PD and although its a pain to conform with the
regulations the Clozoril was not a bad price to pay for the results of the
Parlodel. I take one with the first dose meds at 0600 and 2 1/2 at about
10:30-11 PM it really helps me sleep through the night.

Since my Pallidotomy almost five weeks ago, I have reduced by Parlodel by
one a day without any problems. Weekly, we are reducing one pill of all my
total meds taken daily and so far it has made no difference on the negaitive
side. We will continue this until there is some obvious problem.

Good luck and keep in touch
