To the PD list: Thanks to all of you, I have greatly increased my understanding of the problems experienced by those suffering from Parkinson's disease. I asked our local PD support group if I might attend their last meeting (early June) and they agreed. In fact, one member had recently attended a talk I gave on nutrition and stress--he asked the group to invite me to speak at their meeting on July 2. They did so, and I have accepted. I am currently preparing a talk on the special nutritional needs involved with PD/meds/appetite, etc. I would like to include a bit on exercise, and John Cottingham's resource list, if that would be agreeable to all. May I ask if the persons who responded to my post (asking about the value of exercise) would be willing to allow me to photocopy their responses and pass them out to the Fort Collins PD support group? Also, may I reproduce John's list? Finally, I asked several people at the support group meeting if they were involved in supporting the Udall bill. They had barely heard of it. Is there any information that will be appropriate to pass on by July 2? Or will that be too late? I appreciate your help, and understand if you do not wish me to reproduce your answers.
