Hi Barb, I sure enjoy your posts, though I don't remember hearing much from you till recently. Of course, I've only been the list for a few months. > licking my > wounds after being flamed last year. Sorry you got flamed, but can't imagine why. Probably someone took something the wrong way, that's easy to do via e-mail. > All: There have been a bunch of stress messages of late. Parkies don't > tolerate stress at all Barb, has anyone done anything at all with biofeedback regarding PD stress? I ask because biofeedback has become virtually mainstream treatment for stress reduction. Insurance companies and even Medicare now cover biofeedback. Has had good success in treating high blood pressure, incontinence, several aspects of diabetes, and jaw/shoulder/back pain due to tension. I have used it for management of arthritis pain, with about 60-80% relief. Since I've become more involved with PDIE, I can't help wondering if it might help with some aspects, such as stress and balance. > Kathrynne Holden, RD - What a thorough rundown on Protein vs Sinemet. No, I didn't receive it; however, I'll e-mail it to you privately later today, as it's rather long. -- Kathrynne Holden, MS, RD Editor-in-Chief, "Spotlight on Food--nutrition news for people 60-plus" Tel: 970-493-6532 Fax: 970-493-6538 http://www.fortnet.org/~fivstar You may wish to contact: Better Business Bureau of the Mountain States, < [log in to unmask]> for further information.
