Re:Surgeery If you are taking E;depryl (Deprenyl, selegiline) among your medications, start preparing now. I was scheduled for surgery in May which was preceded by several procedures requiring sedation.I stopped taking Eldepryl on April 15. Surgery was psotponed until June 4th. Luckily I remained off the Eldepryl. Second major surgery was required along with several other major diagnostic procedures. As an alert,often reiterated here, warns that Eldepryl should not be taken within 2 weeks of Demerol or other opiate-containing medications; It is vital that your doctors know when you had your last Eldepryl. Aftrt a few vdays, I missed the Eldepryl, but so much was happening I managed to survive.. [log in to unmask] (Mary Manfredi))
