We're new to the list and appreciate any help you can offer. Husband (John- 62) diagnosed w/PD in past 9 months. Only sympton is dificulty with rt. hand (writing very small) and some pain in rt. arm. He's on eldepryl. His medical insurance (Blue Cross/Blue Shield) picked up the diagnostic code from insurance filings and have rated him from the "healthy" category to its lowest, which now carries a $700/month premium for only himself! Letter from his neurologist stating that he should be given the "healthy" rating again was to no avail. Does anyone have info on affordable medical insurance? And with a company that is willing to insure a Parkie since it is a "pre-existing" illness? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
