Interesting matter here, raised by Marcy. As one farther away from the Montreal Forum--or wherever the Habs play now that the Forum is no more--than is Marcy, and as one supposedly alienated, with Western separatist leanings, and with a premier more provincial than Clyde Wells ever was, I have a further question: Do the Quebecois use the name "Habs" for the team, or is this name an Anglicism rejected by Les Canadiens? I appreciate the insights of Maragret and Mieke, but would like to know about attitudes and actual practice in French Canada.
