Actually, we here at HSC are on the other end of the stick. We used to be sickkids.toronto.edu, but upon moving to ONet, we were forced (I am told) to go to sickkids.on.ca. Oddly, the OCI managed to keep oci.utoronto.ca. For a number of reasons, mostly accessing U of T-limited services, it has become increasingly attractive to us to be tri-domained. We would like to come 'back in' to the toronto.edu/utoronto.ca domain, while not losing sickkids.on.ca, as everyone's business cards now read @sickkids.on.ca. The other option is to have our IP domain added to the list of sites allowed to access restricted services. Our users in Research Computing are largely professors and grad students at U of T, but they can't connect to such services as the online OED server. Who do I need to contact about this? This thread looked like a good place to jump in. =] --D. P.S. I point out that U of T has MX records for us still extant: thus email to me at [log in to unmask] will get to me juuuuuust fine. ---- David Iain Greig, UNIX System Administrator Tel: (416) 813-5013 Research Computing Services Fax: (416) 813-7099 Hospital for Sick Children, 555 University Ave, Toronto, Ont.
