Regarding Sherri's e-mail in which she mentioned the expense of PET Scans to assure an accurage PD diagnosis... * How expensive ARE the PET scans, and will insurance typically pay for them? * What's the name of the new scan they are soon to start using that may be less expensive? I want to watch for the mention of it in PD Circles. I think lots of people would like to be assured the diagnosis is correct; the many symptoms pd patients can exhibit can also lead to some misdiagnoses, and I've heard of several.
