Like so many of you, I cannot yet grasp the fact that there will be no more messages on this list from Alan Bonander. The messages with his name were always the ones I opened first. I valued his knowledge, his compassion, his sense of humor, and above all, his readiness to help anyone who reached out to him. Alan was the most treasured of friends, the friend we knew we could count on whenever we needed him. We will miss him greatly. My deepest sympathy to his family. Margot Zobel
